Vance M. Barker

Vance Matthew Barker, 55, of Putnam County, Indiana, passed away on April 24, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.Vance was a skilled welder and held an EMT certification, reflecting his dedication to both craftsmanship and care for others. He was a man of quiet strength, known for his sense of humor and loyalty to those he loved.He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Barker, daughter, Ashlee Barker and her husband Brandon Hawk, who were by his side through his final days. He is also survived by his brother Jeff (Kim) Barker, and sister Debbie (Mike) Pierce.Vance was preceded in death by his son, Blake Barker; his parents, Donna and Tom Barker; and leaves behind many memories that will be cherished by family and friends.In accordance with his wishes, Vance will be cremated. A graveside service to honor his life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green, Indiana.He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
