Vanderek Hamiel Obituary
Vanderek Sherod Hamiel, age 38, of Richmond, departed this life on August 22, 2025. He is survived by three children, Ve'Jon Davis-Hamiel, Ja'Zier Davis-Hamiel and Ma'Ciyah Goodnight; mother, Lisa Hamiel; fathers, Rodney Brackett and Antwaun Jefferson; maternal grandmother, Alice Hamiel; one sister ,Tameka Hamiel; one brother, Javon Coffey; three aunts, Rosalyn Brackett, Marlene Brackett and Patricia Postell; three uncles, Bernard Alston, David Hamiel and Roosevelt Brackett Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and friends, among them his devoted companion, Myeishia Goodnight.
Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Mr. Hamiel can be viewed on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and where funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 4:30pm. Interment private. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 4:15pm on Saturday.
