Vanessa Rose Kellum

Vanessa Rose Kellum, age 60, of Hayes, died at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Vanessa was a free spirit who loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Ben Shackelford. Survivors include two sons, Joseph Smith and Daniel Smith; grandchildren Natalie Smith, Jacob Smith, Zoey Smith, and Leland Smith; her mother, Florence Whitt; brothers Melvin Shackelford, Billy Whitt, and Dinky Whitt; and a very special friend, Charlotte Smith Hall. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home. The service in the chapel, officiated by Pastor Bill West, will follow at 2:00 p.m. The inurnment will be private-services under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home.
