Vanessa is a wonderful person. She helped me 20 years ago with her direct no nonsense wisdom that she shared with me when I first met her. We've been friends ever since. She taught me to get out of my own way and listen. About 3 weeks ago she passed me a note across the table. She wrote her name on top of it and once again shared her experience strength and hope with me. I came home and taped the note on my desk. I will never forget her and was so shocked and dismayed to learn of her passing. My deepest condolences to her family.

My deepest condolences! I had the pleasure of working close with Vanessa at Head Start. She was a very caring individual who had such a fun side to her. We had a lot of laughs together which made our job so much more fun. She lived in my aunts building and I enjoyed running into her from time to time and sharing stories of the past. She will be missed!

Vanessa became the most important person in my life as she taught me how to live a peaceful, serene life free from the addiction to alcohol. And I know she helped many others as she did me.Her teachings remain with me and I dedicate myself to passing along her wisdom to others. My deepest sympathy extends to her children and grandchildren who she dearly loved and was very proud of. ( I know this as she told me often.) I will miss her
