Vanessa Denise Stewart Primus was born on March 16, 1961, in Arcadia, Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret White; her father, Morris Stewart Sr.; her beloved husband, Rev. Robert E. Primus Sr.; her sister, Carla Toney; her grandson, Tiyunn Primus; and her great-grandson, Elijah Primus.

Vanessa dedicated much of her career to serving others, working for the State of Florida and Tocala for many years before retiring. Upon retirement, she fully committed her life to fulfilling her calling in ministry. Luke 2:49 - "I must be about my Father's business" - was a verse she quoted often and lived by daily. Anyone who spent time in her presence knew without a doubt that she was a faithful servant and a child of God. Her light shone brightly, drawing others to Christ and inspiring them to seek a personal relationship with Him.

Through her unwavering faith, Vanessa raised up a generation of believers. She gave her time, energy, and resources to help others and spread the Word of God. Even in the face of illness, she pressed on with strength, saying that as long as God woke her up in the morning, she would allow Him to use her. She kept that promise until her very last day on earth.

Vanessa leaves to cherish her memory with her children: Ebonia Primus, Robert Primus Jr. (Ardine), and Samaria Primus; her life partner, Jose Cortez; her grandchildren: Shurreka Primus (Christopher), Makayla Primus, Ronnie Tice, Malik Tice, Alaysia Primus, Tiyunna Primus, Robert Primus III, Christanna Veal, and Christopher Veal Jr.; and her great-grandchildren: Arial Primus, Amari Gavin, Samarion Primus, Ma'Raj Tice, and Ma'Cilo Tice.

She also leaves behind a niece and nephews she raised as her own: Dekeria Toney (LeRoy), Jakari Toney (Valecia), and Kimari Griggs; her goddaughter, Terreahna Mitchell; her siblings: Sanda (Raford), Margaret (Leander), Richard Stewart (Veronica), Morris Stewart, Kenneth Stewart, Altheia Lloyd (Dean) and Ricardo Kemp; her aunts and uncles: Dorothy Moore (Dave), Sylvester Wiggins, James Wiggins, Elizabeth Wiggins, John Wiggins Jr.; niece/daughter Leaundra Brown (Terrelle); and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Vanessa loved deeply and unconditionally. Her absence will be felt by many, yet her legacy of love, faith, and service will live on in all who knew her. She often said, "It is all well with me" and found peace in the truth of 2 Corinthians 5:8 - "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." This promise brings comfort to all who loved her.
