Lynn - Vasiliki Karametsopoulos, 83, of Lynn, peacefully passed away at Salem Hospital on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 23, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Elias and Stella (Tsoutsoubeos) Linardos, and the wife of John Karametsopoulos.
Vasiliki was a woman of unwavering faith and deep devotion, a long-time and cherished member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Lynn. Her spiritual strength was matched only by her love for family, which she held above all else. She was an excellent cook and delighted in sharing meals, savoring a glass of wine, and bringing joy to family gatherings. Vasiliki especially loved Easter, a holiday filled with all her Orthodox traditions that always brought the family home to celebrate. She and her beloved husband John ran a successful business for many years, and she later returned to her craft as a talented seamstress. She was an amazing wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Vasiliki will be dearly missed and is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, John Karametsopoulos; her loving children, Katherine Coleman and her husband Kevin of Salem, Stella King and her husband Dennis of Swampscott, and Vasilios Karametsopoulos and his wife Maria of Swampscott; her cherished grandchildren, Amanda, Casey, Kyle, Joanna, John, Christina, Olivia, Jon, and Elissa; and her great-grandson, Kyle Jr. She is also survived by her siblings, Costas Linardos and his wife Anthoula, Katina Bazakos and her husband Zafirios, and Dionisis Linardos and his wife Magdaleni.
Service Information: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, October 3, 2025, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 54 S Common Street, Lynn. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the church. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
