Vaughn Ebbighausen, 64 of Fergus Falls, Minnesota died unexpectedly on November 12, 2024.

Vaughn was born April 25, 1960, in Jamestown, North Dakota to Vincent and Joan (Lincoln) Ebbighausen. He attended Eisenhower K-6 grade school in Fergus Falls where he maintained friendships until his death. He graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1979. After graduation, he went to Alexandria AVTI for welding, and later returning to the same school for law enforcement. He served as a police officer in Breckenridge and Fergus Falls. He went on to become a Minnesota State Trooper in the Minneapolis Metro area and later transferring to the Fergus Falls area. Vaughn retired from the Minnesota State Patrol at the age of 56. After retirement he continued driving motorcoach for the Fergus Falls High School athletes. Not enough can be said about his love of cars. Vaughn's collection of cars was always growing. He greatly appreciated his loyal friends that he would meet for lunch every Tuesday. Vaughn and his twin brother Charles, were always meeting up with friends and family for various events. Vaughn enjoyed his favorite political radio station while working in his shop, or lounging in his recliner with his dog. He loved life, and left us way to soon. His presence will be deeply missed.

Vaughn is survived by his mother, Joan M. Ebbighausen; brother Charles Ebbighausen; sister Kaya Epps; nephew Charles Epps IV; niece Leah Epps and great nephews Zachary, Donovan, Blake and Greysen. He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent E. Ebbighausen.

Vaughn adopted several cherished companions from the Fergus Falls Humane Society and would have been grateful for donations to the Otter Tail Humane Society in lieu of flowers and gifts.

**An honorable mention to Vaughn's brothers and sisters in law enforcement. We salute you!**

Vaughn was a cherished member of the Federated Church.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2024, at Federated Church in Fergus Falls with visitation one hour prior to the service.
