Vaughn Allen Reichard, age 61, of Fruitland Park, FL entered his eternal home on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
Vaughn was born on December 17, 1962 in Ocala, FL to Edmund and Evelyn Reichard.
He was a loving husband to Debby Reichard for 44 years. He loved his children, Christy Mauriell (Brent) and Stephen Reichard (Meghan) unconditionally. He was an amazing Pops to Nolan, Brooklyn, Stephanie, Nathan, Christian, and Lily. He is also survived by his brother John Reichard (Diane), his mother-in-law, Winnie Jean Willis, his brother-in-law, David Willis, and several nieces and nephews. He was reunited with his father, Edmund Reichard, his mother, Evelyn Reichard, his sister, Ann Fessenden, and his father-in-law, Ernest Willis.
Vaughn was the owner of Quality Tire & Brake in Lady Lake, FL for 45 years. Not only was he a business owner and mechanic, a very important part of his business was sharing the gospel of Christ with his customers not only through his conversations, but also through his giving and selfless actions.
Vaughn absolutely loved spending time with his family. He would do anything and everything for them and he loved doing it! He loved cooking for his family for every holiday and gathering. He made special cakes and meals for each family member for their birthday. He could also build and fix anything. When he had free time, he loved to golf with his boys and bake with his girls. He and his wife also loved eating out at their favorite local restaurants and spent many years traveling together.
Services will be Tuesday, September 17 at Grace Bible Baptist Church, 1703 Lewis Road, Leesburg, FL 34748. The viewing will be at 3:00 pm with the service beginning at 4:00 pm. Vaughn was a very special person in this world and he is, no doubt, one of God's favorites now that his soul's journey continues in heaven. He took car of my green 2004 Ford Explorer since I moved to Florida 7 years ago. When I decided to get a new car early this year, I gave Vaughn my old car and he told me he was going to fix it up and that he was "keeping it in the family!" I was so happy that I cried right there on the lot!

Today, I cried when I learned that he has left us. I will never forget him. He was a gem. I will pray for his family, whom he truly loved.

What a huge loss for this world and his family and friends. He was a decent, honest, kind and caring man. I had the privilege of having him as my trusted mechanic for 13 years. He made the world a better place with his values about family and work. He will always remain in the hearts of those that knew him. R.I.P.

We have known Vaughn through his Quality Tire & Repair business. BUT, he was most of all, a quality man. He was fair and honest from the first day I drove into his shop. He did not need to flaunt his Christianity as others have done in his business. He saved us lots of money on repairs and replacements. He will be in our hearts! Our sincere condolences to his family and close friends!

My sincere condolences to the Reinhard family in the recent passing of Vaughn, who was one of kindest and sincere person I have ever met. I only knew him through his repair business and I was always grateful for his service and advice that saved me hundreds of dollars in car repairs! He was truly interested in his customers and never took advantage of our lack of car knowledge by doing more than necessary or charging unfairly!
Our world has lost a fine Christian man!

I have known Vaughn for the last 18 years. He was not only a wonderful mechanic but more importantly he was very honest and a man of God. When he told you what was wrong with your car you could rely on his word and knew you were not being take advantage of. His son Stephen is the same as is Drake and Jimmy. I am sure that I will be visiting shortly to give my condolences. My prayers and blessings to his family and the wonderful staff at Quality Tire. Marty Hughes

I just learned about Vaughn's passing...my condolences to his family.
Vaughn was truly "old school", and I mean that in the best possible way--friendly, down-to-earth, humble, & honest as the day is long. I use to leave my car off with him and just tell him--"Go through it & fix anything that needs fixing." He didn't need to call me to get approval to do the repair, I knew if he said something needed to be replaced or repaired, it did. He will be missed...

Great man of God. I take my daughter´s car to him along with the rest of my family. One time after leaving there with my daughter. I said to my daughter that there are few people you love to be around. I told her Vaughn was one of them. Prayers for his family and co-workers.

My mom went to Vaughn to get her truck fixed for many years. His was a name I heard often, and after I moved there, I picked her up from Vaughns while her truck was being fixed. Eventually it became necessary to sell her truck. She recently passed away, but every time I pass by Vaughns, I think of her. So sorry for your loss.

When I moved into Virginia Trace 19 years ago, Vaughn was one of the first people I met. He was well known to willingly counsel we older/single ladies when others told us that work was needed for our cars. He became someone whom I often depended upon to let me know if the repair was really necessary. He made himself available to everyone and was helpful in getting us "on the road again". He saved me from numerous unnecessary repairs. Seems like all folks I've talked to recently have the same opinion. EVERYONE must have known him! What a wonderful man and such a beautiful tribute to his memory. God bless his soul and comfort his family. Marie Andersen

We met Vaughn in 2017 when we moved here and asked where to take our car for service. We trusted his judgement and he never steered us wrong. He is the most honest man we have ever met. He always found time to look at our car and he never charged us if he felt there was nothing wrong, even if he had his mechanics look at the car. We will miss him dearly, his smile, his laugh, and his stories.

I met Richard when I moved here in 2018. He´s the only person I have taken my car to. He was a true Southern gentleman in every sense of the word. Kind & honest as the day is long. Although he left us way too early he made quite an impact on everyone he met. Heaven has another Angel that will constantly be looking down on his family that he loved so much. Hope you all can find peace in all the memories he left behind.

Many times I recommended Quality Tire to friends and those who asked for an honest mechanic. I knew Vahghn and the men who worked with him would take excellent care of them. I have no need to recommend Vaughn to God...Vaughn took care of that with the way he lived his life.

As a widow, me and my old 1997 Buick were in the most honest, giving, hard working hands of DEAREST Vaugh !!! He kept me on the road safely, at the very minor cost for many needed repairs. He worked on hot days, rainy days, but always with ONLY reassuring words we can fix it. He was one of God's angels here to help sooooo many. With condolences to ALL his loved one. Most people say Angels go to heaven when they pass. Vaughn was one of the few Angels on earth. I take care of my mom and help elderly people in the villages so I do not have much money. I have brought my 2002 Black Toyota Tundra to him so many times over the years and know he always took care of me. One of the most honest person I have ever met. I just saw him recently and his son who helped put some tires on for me for a lawn mower. I am so heartbroken that a great man like him who was so good for so many people in the area passed way to early. My heart goes out to the family . But please know what a great man he was. He also took care of my mom 78 yrs old and my step aunt 86 and uncle 91 with all vehicle problems. We could not trust anyone else!!!! My family and I will dearly miss him with all our hearts. I liked Vaughn so much from the day I met him. He was a fare guy, honest, sweet, big hearted, & just a good person. We talked about different things. I went to him fairly often even while I was staying in Zephyrhills. Didn't trust anyone else. He was caring. He has good guys working for him including his son which is very nice. I saw him about the wk he died but didn't know he died til yesterday Sept. 16. I will miss him so much & will be lost w/out him. Sometimes we ran into ea other at a restaurant or Walmart. Started going to him in '2009' I think. A Village cab driver told me about him when I got a car. I had others going to him too. I gave him & his guys cards for the holidays. He was so kind & generous. I know the last couple times I saw him he didn't seem to be feeling well. I asked him if he was o.k. & he would say yes. He said this was the busiest summer he can ever remember & he couldn't get over it. Plus we have had such hot weather. When I was told about him my heart felt like it had a lot of pressure on it. I know we all have to go but there are people u don't want to go & he was still young. About 7 yrs younger than me. He didn't age either. Guess I'll stop here. I will miss him so much like an old friend or family member. Laura Sewell.

Well done Good and Faithful servant.

We just learned of Vaughn's passing today, Sept 16. So very shocked and saddened. He serviced our cars for years, was so honest and dependable that we never even questioned the quality or the charges because we knew his integrity was, beyond any doubt, the purest. May GOD bless the family and may they carry on with his "one-in-a-million" reputation.
