Veda Owens Obituary
Veda (Todd) Feimster Owens, age 94, beloved mother and nana, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
Retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 21 years before owning and operating Shaws Gardens. She also worked for McMasters and Harvest Foods, as well as Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home. Veda frequently volunteered at the Central Arkansas Council’s Thursday night dances.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, shopping, eating out with her family, dancing, and socializing with friends. Veda was a lifelong member of Richwood Baptist Church.
Veda was preceded in death by her son, Howard “Butch” Feimster; parents, Vera and Sank Todd; sisters, Linda Todd and Pat Fendley; and her husband, Glen “Pappy” Owens.
Veda is survived by her daughter, Debbie Dollar (fiancé, Matt Grubb); granddaughters, Krystal Dickens (Kris), Katelyn Gunter (Tyler); brothers, Nick Todd (Jolynn), Charles Todd (Laverne); and three great-grandsons, Sander, Kai, and Brooks; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2026 at Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel, with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
