Vivian (Vee) Henderson Kellam, 66, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, May 30, 2025. She was predeceased by her mother, Jeri Jarman Gustafson and Mother-in-Law, Louzetta Kellam. Vee is survived by her husband, Roland Thomas (Tom) Kellam of Exmore, Virginia, her daughter Stacy Kellam Maurice of Melfa, Virginia and her two granddaughters, Addison Lynn Maurice of Pasadena, California and Hadley Grace Maurice of Melfa, Virginia. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy Thompson; Aunt, June Jarman Maige; Father-in-Law Edward O. Kellam; Sister-in-Law Pat Kellam Boyer and husband David, as well as Brother-in-Law, Edward O Kellam, Jr and wife Patricia; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was known as Momma, Mom mom, and Mama Vee to many.
Vee worked at Shore Memorial Hospital from 1983 to 2010, first in Maintenance and then in 1986 went to X-Ray Tech school and then became an X-Ray Tech where she helped so many and enjoyed time with her Co-Workers. She always worked the night shift as well as most holidays. While she was amazing at her job she also excelled in other ways, she made beautiful woodwork, loved painting, and decorating her house. She was the best wife in the world, as well as a Mother and Grandmother that anyone could ask for. Regardless of what was needed, she would be anywhere at the drop of a hat for her family. She lived a life of adventure, even at one point in her life hitchhiking California and living there for a time. She also loved the relaxing times in life such as laying on the beach in Nags Head with her devoted husband, the sound of ocean waves in the background as well as listening to her music, especially Pink Floyd and Moody Blues. She has left the biggest hole in all of our hearts, but we know that we’ll see her again one day with tons of stories to tell her.
