Veebal Carr

Veebal Carr, age 92, of Battiest, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Broken Bow Health and Rehab in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. She was born on Monday, June 19, 1933, to James Calvin and Cora Jane Chambers Morris in Silver Creek, Oklahoma.

Veebal loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart, and her faith guided every step of her life. She attended Pickens Assembly of God, where she worshiped, served, and built meaningful friendships over the years.

A woman of kindness and gentle strength, Veebal cherished her children and grandchildren deeply. Her home was a place of comfort, warmth, and welcome, a spot where family gathered, laughter was shared, and memories were made. She was happiest in her kitchen, cooking for the people she loved, and she was well-known for her delicious fried chicken and her famous peanut butter cookies.

Veebal lived her life with love, grace, and generosity. Her legacy will remain in the hearts of her family, her church community, and all who were blessed to know her.

Veebal is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil Carr; one son, Billy Hardaway; two grandsons, Cody Hardaway and John Dagenhart; three brothers, G.W. Morris, Dillard Morris and Rayford Morris and one sister, Jessie Smalling.

Veebal is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Leo and Janice Hardaway of Dora, Missouri, Kerry and Lisa Hardaway of Bethel, Oklahoma, and Lloyd and Shannon Hardaway of Horatio, Arkansas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Loy Dunlap of Cloudy, Oklahoma and Becky and Darrell Dagenhart of Pickens, Oklahoma; one daughter-in-law, Mary Hardaway of Attica, Indiana; seven step-children, thirteen grandchildren; twenty nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other beloved family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 5, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Vincent Troxel officiating. Interment will follow at the Battiest Cemetery in Battiest, Oklahoma. Visitation will be Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 6-8 P.M. at the Bowser Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
