Velda Andreone Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home - Tidewater Drive Chapel on Aug. 20, 2025.
Velda Autry Andreone (née Harris), 83, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Born on January 18, 1942, in Pinetops, North Carolina, Velda brought warmth and joy to all who knew her throughout her remarkable life.

Velda was the beloved wife of Vincent "Pop Pop" Andreone, with whom she shared a life filled with laughter and love. She was a devoted mother to her son Clayton Belcher and daughter Kimberly Belcher. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren Nicole King (Ryan), Clayton S. Belcher, and Samantha Belcher, as well as her great-granddaughter Grace King. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were touched by her generous spirit.

She was preceded in death by her loving mother Elizabeth Harris (Crickmore) and father Robert Harris Sr., along with her siblings Evelyn Harris, Robert Harris Jr., Ruby Lowman (Harris), Anita Robinson (Harris), Daniel Harris, Jeanie Ho man (Harris), David Harris, George Harris, and Steve Harris.

Velda had a vibrant personality that lit up every room she entered. Often described as the real- life version of "I Love Lucy," she brought humor and spontaneity into everyday life. Her days were filled with adventure-each one more memorable than the last-and she had an uncanny ability to turn ordinary moments into treasured memories.

Her giving nature knew no bounds. Velda never met a stranger; instead, she welcomed everyone with open arms and an open heart. She had an infectious way of making people feel seen and valued-as if they were the most important person in the world to her at that moment. Her love language was gift-giving; whether big or small, each gift carried deep meaning and reflected her thoughtfulness.

Velda's presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her and continue to inspire kindness and joy in their lives.
