Venette Allen Kragenbrink, 73, of Pottsboro, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on May 14, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Reed and Mary Grace Smith Allen. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Venette lived a full life enriched with many passions, including painting, dance, gardening, serving in her church community, reading, and studying the gospel of Jesus Christ. But her greatest joy of all was found in spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of nearly 37 years, Gary Kragenbrink (76); her children, Pennie Sandt (Gary), Rich West, Rachel Heath, Carol Roth, Justin Kragenbrink (TJ), Shallys Boldman (Fred), Derek Kragenbrink (Mikki), Allen Kragenbrink, Chelsea Jamison (Stephen), Alexis Jenkins (Michael), Paul Kragenbrink (Kelly), Tyler Kragenbrink (Bailey), and Samantha Kragenbrink; 29 grandchildren; siblings Ken Allen (Sue), Kathy Bright (Douglas Palmer), and Scott Allen; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her friend and brother-in-law John Bright, and her first husband, Larry Weeks.

A public viewing will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1900 West Lamberth Road in Sherman, Texas on September 23, 2025 from 10am to 11:45am CST, followed by a funeral service at 12pm CST. Venette will be laid to rest on September 24, 2025 at DFW National Cemetery.
