Vera Miller, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, in Brookville, Ohio, at the age of 100. Born on August 13, 1925, in Dayton, Ohio, Vera lived a life filled with devotion, kindness, and a deep faith that guided her throughout her remarkable journey.
Vera's professional life was shaped by her dedication to Avon, where she proudly worked for over 40 years. Beyond her career, she embraced the role of a devoted homemaker, nurturing a warm and loving environment for her family. A graduate of Roosevelt High School in 1943, she carried the values of hard work and perseverance into every facet of her life.
Her unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her existence. For many years, Vera was a cherished member of the Salem Church of God, where she drew strength from her community and embraced her role as a beacon of kindness and generosity. Those who knew her often marveled at her capacity for love—an enduring trait manifested not only through her words but also through her heartfelt actions.
Vera had a variety of interests that brought joy to her and her loved ones. She spent many hours crocheting hats and scarves for those in need, her hands creating warmth for others. In her younger years, she was a lifeguard and continued to enjoy swimming and boating as lifelong pleasures. Quality time spent camping and fishing with her beloved husband, Andrew Miller, was cherished and celebrated. Together, they explored the outdoors in their motor home, creating countless memories that would be treasured by their family.
Vera leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, embodied in her children, Joy (Steve) Brannon and Kirk (Carol) Miller, who are forever grateful for the lessons she imparted and the values she instilled in them. Her grandchildren, Chad (Stephanie) Brannon, Ryan (Charissa) Brannon, Steve Miller, and Jason (Molly) Miller remember her as a guiding light in their lives. The joy of her presence continues with her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Olivia, Hailey, and Liam, who were embraced by her unfailing love.
Vera joins her dear family members in eternal rest, reuniting with her parents, Archer and Mary Kelchner, and her beloved husband of 71 years, Andrew Miller, along with many other family members she cherished deeply. She will be missed profoundly by her many dear family and friends, who knew her as a pillar of strength and warmth.
As we celebrate Vera's life, we remember her as a woman of unwavering faith and kindness, a devoted family matriarch whose impact will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched. Her spirit will continue to inspire love and generosity in all of us.
