Vera Sue Irby Mosley's life was a radiant beacon of faith, love, and selflessness that illuminated the lives of everyone she touched. Born on February 22, 1938, to Delmar and Mildred Irby, Vera grew up learning the values that would define her entire existence. She departed from this world on July 27, 2025, in Rector, Arkansas, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering devotion to her family and her Savior. Sue's journey through life was a testament to her enduring faith in Jesus Christ. She was a pillar of strength and a source of wisdom, not only to her beloved family but to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her marriage to Don Mosley was a beautiful partnership that lasted 60 years, a testament to their shared commitment and love. Together, they worked side by side at Mosley Auto Parts for five decades, building not just a business but a community. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Don, her parents, Delmar and Mildred, her brothers, Jerry and Garth Irby, and her son-in-law, Dr. Roy Hargrave. Yet, her spirit lives on through her children, Marki Hargrave Mallory and Dewayne, Terri Hodge and David, Laura Manthey and Gannen, and David Mosley and Christina. Her nephew, Tim Irby and Tamaria, whom she loved as a son, along with her 16 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren, also carry forward the flame of her love and teachings. Sue's commitment to her Christian faith was unwavering. She served her church with a fervent heart, teaching, leading music, and engaging in fervent prayer. Her prayers were powerful and effective, often bringing about the very answers for which people sought. As a mentor, she guided countless women on their spiritual journeys, imparting wisdom and encouragement with every step. Her intellectual pursuits were anchored in her love for reading, with the Bible being her constant companion. Sue's ability to quote scripture by chapter and verse was not just impressive; it was the foundation upon which she built her life and inspired others to seek a deeper connection with their faith. Sue's talents were many, and her hands were never idle. She was an exceptional seamstress, creating beautiful garments for her family with love stitched into every seam. In the kitchen, her culinary skills were unmatched, and as a hostess, she welcomed everyone with open arms and a warm smile. Her home was a haven of hospitality, a place where laughter and love were always on the menu. Above all Sue's devotion to her family was paramount. She was the quintessential matriarch, present at every significant event, cheering on her children and grandchildren, and filling their lives with joy and laughter.
