Vera Maxine Pace

Vera Maxine Pace, 76, joined her Heavenly Father on Friday, December 22, 2023.  She passed away at Merit Health River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS.  Ms. Maxine loved the Lord and loved her family so much. She was a Daughter, Mom, Grandmother, Sister, and Great-grandmother. She always had a beautiful smile even when she didn’t feel like it, she has fought many health battles and has overcome each one.  She was such a warrior, she never let it stop her from doing the things she loved. Which was going to church, putting up vegetables, going shopping, putting puzzles together, coloring, doing her crossword puzzles, cooking, watching her game shows, wrestling, watching football and spending time with family. She loved every holiday, but her favorite holiday was Christmas. Everyone that she came to know loved her.  She was called Mama, Gran, and Ms. Maxine by everyone she knew.  

Pallbearers will be Stanley Pace, Tracy Hughes, Duncan Creekmore, Aiden Laird, Tim Walker, Wilson Hallman

Honorary Pallbearers are Lucas Newell, Taylor Walker, and Brandon Laird

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.  A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Jackson First Assembly of God in Jackson, MS with visitation starting at 9am at the church.  Burial will follow in Burns, MS at Providence Lutheran Cemetery.
