Vera W "Pitts" Parker

Vera M. Pitts Womack Parker was born on October 17, 1951 to the

late Willie R. Pitts and Rebecca J. Outsey in Barbour County, AL. She

exchanged this earthly life for her eternal home on Friday, February 27,

2026.

Vera was a proud Alumnus of Barbour County High School. She then

continued her education to become a flight attendant. She later retired

from Krispy Kreme, where she was employed for over thirty years.

To know Vera was to love her. She carried herself with strength, grace,

and authenticity. She was beautiful inside and out, and her presence filled

every room. Her joy was infectious, and her faith was unwavering. She

motivated others to push forward, pray harder, laugh louder, and trust God

fully. Though she has taken her rest, the seeds she planted in her family

and friends will continue to flourish.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca J. Outsey; her father,

Willie R. Pitts; sister, Joyce Lampton; and her brother, Willie M. Pitts.

Vera leaves to cherish her precious memories to her husband of forty-four

years, Billy Mack Parker; daughters: Acquanetta T. Womack-James and

Jennifer (Tyrone) Mosley; sisters: Dorothy (Jerry) Bennett, Sarah Pitts,

and Flora Hall; grandchildren: Kirsten M. Womack, Ashanti S. Womack

James, Micheal A. James, Meaghan R. James, and Narkita (Johnathan)

Thomas; great-grandchildren: Kennedi C. Womack-James, Jayveon

Johnson, and Janiq Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren,

cousins, other relatives and friends.
