Vera Grace Suko, 96, West Fargo, ND died Friday April 4, 2025, at her home in West Fargo, ND.
Vera Flaig was born October 14, 1928, at the family farm home near Alfred, ND, the daughter of Alfred Oscar Flaig and Elizabeth (Scheid) Flaig. She attended 2 years of high school and later received her GED.
On June 23, 1946, she married Christian “Christ” J. Suko and they made their home in Alfred. They made their home on the farm near Alfred until moving to Jamestown in 1966 where they lived for 40 years. She worked as a Med Secretary at the ND State Hospital until retiring in 1993. She later moved to West Fargo.
She thoroughly enjoyed family including grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed helping the serving ladies at church, and doing different crafts, including crocheting, doing warm water aerobics and playing pinochle.
She is survived by her daughters: Linda Martz, Brooklyn Center, MN and Sandra (Ted) Sott, Fargo, ND 5 grandchildren, Stacy (Kurt) Hendrickson, Gina (Matt) Koenig, Melissa Martz, Nicole Sott and TJ Sott; 9 great-grandchildren.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2017, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
