Vera Wendel, 87, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026. She was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia on March 17, 1938 and relocated to Sweden after WWII. Her family immigrated to Cleveland, OH in 1952. Vera learned English while attending John Adam’s High School. She married in 1959 and had three children. Vera was employed at Ohio Bell and retired after 30 years of employment. She enjoyed the Arts, volunteering and traveling the world. She loved her family and friends deeply and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She had a life well lived.
In honoring her wishes, Vera will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
