FORT WORTH - Our mom, Verda Lois Turner, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024. She was born on September 22, 1927, in Rhome, Texas to William Henry Fuller and Bertha Mae Lisby Fuller.
A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Mount Olivet Funeral Home in the Breyley Suite. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2024, at 12 p.m. at Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
Verda married Willis Steve Turner on February 12, 1943. They were married 56 years until dad passed on August 15, 2000.
Verda was a housewife most of her life, but she did work for Birdville School District in their kitchen for several years. She was an excellent cook and liked to crochet. She also enjoyed going out to eat and getting together with family.
Verda was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her daughter, Patsy Manning; her brothers, O.T. Harry, Buster, Wallace and Jim Fuller; and her sisters, Dorothy Maciel, Ann Ehlert and Elizabeth Terry.
Survivors: daughters, Henrietta Turner, Janice Hallmark and Glenda Hughes; grandchildren, Stephen Hallmark and wife, Sarah, Michael Hughes, Kenneth Manning, Cynthia Perry and husband, Jason; brother, W.T Fuller and wife, Carolyn; sister-in-law, Nancy Fuller; and 7 great-granddaughters, 3 great grandsons, and many nephews and nieces.
