Verle D. Florea, age 88, entered into rest on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Sunset Nursing Home in Concordia, Kansas. He was born on June 30, 1936, in Republic, Kansas to Irvin and Verda (Beck) Florea.
Verle was a 1955 graduate of Belleville High School, Belleville, Kansas.
Verle was a truck driver for the Cloud County Highway Department for many years. Prior to that he worked for Quartzite Stone Co., Ball Truck Line, and Hittle Trucking.
He attended The Truth Church.
Verle enjoyed family, friends, driving a truck and riding his motorcycle.
Verle is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Elaine of Concordia, KS; two daughters, Beverly Ann (Max) Heisler of Hays, KS, Mary Lou (Frank) Dobrinski of Clyde, KS; a son, Gary Dean (Neetsey) Florea of Hope, KS; his grandchildren and great grandchildren and nephews and nieces
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Verda, a sister, Shirley Jean Florea, brothers Gerald Florea, Marvin Florea and Dennis Florea.
Celebration of Life service will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas, with Julie Harthorn and Pam Erickson officiating. A burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.
Visitation will be held from 1pm-8pm Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas.
