Vern Edwards Obituary
He was employed at Oscar Mayer in Beardstown, Tate Cheese (where he met his wife), Manchester Tank in Hannibal, mechanic at Dyno and Vern retired from Sharkey's. Vern also owned and operated Outlaw's Den in Barry. Family was everything to Vern. He loved his soul mate and wife Freda, his grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Cocoa.
Survivors include sons, Glen (Angela) Edwards, Roger Edwards, Todd (Alisha) Phillips; daughters, Alisha Phillips, April Voss, Amber Kemp, Freda (Jake) Hull; grandchildren, April, Rachel, Bethany, Michael, Sami Jo, Asher, Levi, Alexas, Austin, Jamie, Zander, Ashlyn, Nate, Allison, Mary Ann, and Samuel; great-grandchildren, Lynnlee, Everlee, Trenton and Anthony.
Vern was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lisa Kay Vickery; sisters, Delores Dyer, Charlotte Huddleston, Mary Lou Lemmons and Edna Mae Fuelling; and two brothers, Herbert "Herb" Edwards, Tom Edwards and Louis Edwards.
Private graveside services will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Meredosia, IL. Cremation rites were accorded as per his wishes. Memorials may be made to the Barry Food Pantry to the care of Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry, Illinois. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry, IL is handling the arrangements.
