Verna Skeete Obituary
Verna worked hard all her life. She was an avid reader and a life-long learner, continuing to pursue education after finishing her formal schooling. Verna loved photography, music, shopping, and spending time with friends. Most of all, she had a deep love for her parents, to whom she was devoted, and her happiest times were spent gardening with them.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 20th, from 9 to 11 AM in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, followed by a memorial service conducted in Grace Episcopal Church, 160 High St., Medford at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Verna's name to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts, online at: www.emassbigs.org

Fate crossed us at a hospital a few months ago, i was being triage, she checked in on me as I was waiting to be transported, we were so happy to see each other, her personality and smile filled the hall. We had a great conversation, I can't believe that she is gone, may she rest in peace, a gift to family and friends.

There are no words that could be put here to ease this loss. Verna was a treasure and a Great Daughter, a nice friend and Neighbor. She will be missed by many but has left a mark in very many. It´s really a sad thing when you work with someone for many , many years, we would always run into each other in passing going in different directions at Pine Street and we stop. She´d always asked me how I was doing. She will be missed.
