Verne John Rambo, 84, of Bridgman passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Corewell Health South, St. Joseph.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 3903 Lake St., Bridgman, MI 49106. Friends may meet with the family from 5-7 PM Tuesday, October 28 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be given to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.
Verne was born on January 15, 1941 in Bridgman, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Rudnick) Rambo. Verne was a farmer by trade, but more than farming, what was most important to Verne was his love for his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Verne was an avid Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and Michigan State Spartans fan.
On March 3, 1962 he married Marilyn Nitz and she survives along with children: Lisa (Rod) Nemitz, Mary (Ralf) Mojsiejenko, Verne (Lynn) Rambo, and Amy (Jeff) Knowlton; grandchildren: Abbey (Jason) Garrick, Zac Nemitz, Allie Mojsiejenko, Parker (Dani) Mojsiejenko, Cooper Mojsiejenko, Lauren Rambo, Brooke (Isaac Stiebeling) Rambo, Nick Knowlton, and Mackenzie “Gracie” Knowlton; great grandchildren: Jackson Garrick, Max Garrick, Jay Mojsiejenko, and Nora Mojsiejenko; sister-in-law, Evelyn Rambo; brother-in-law, Mike (Lisa) Nitz; and many nieces and nephews.
Verne was also preceded in death by brothers: Dr. Joseph Rambo and Rene Rambo; and sister, Joan “Dolly” Krieger.
Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman.
