Vernette Wallis Andry

Vernette Wallis Andry entered into rest on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the age of 74. She was the wife of the late Cary J. Andry, Sr., and the daughter of the late Stafford Wallis, Sr., and the late Dorothy O'Neal Wallis Lewis. Vernette was the third child of ten, the mother of six: Darrell Odomes, Napoleon Odomes, Monique Veal (Byron), Keeva Sullivan (Creg), Cary Andry, Jr. (Monica), Christopher Andry (Anatasia); grandmother of eight, bonus grandmother of three, great-grandmother of eight, and godmother of seven. She was a member of Mt. Hermon B.C., where she served faithfully under the leadership of Rev. Dr. John Jackson. She was a former member of the Pentecost and Galilee Baptist Churches. Her most sincere desire was to live a life through which others might see Christ in her and would want to be saved. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, April 11, 2025, for 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 2153 N. Broad Street, New Orleans, LA 70119.
