Vernon Eugene Craft, 84, of Statham, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024.Born in Oconee County, he was a son of the late Thomas "T.J" Craft and Nancy Tiller Craft. Mr. Craft was a simple man with a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time on his tractor and most importantly, he was a faithful and devoted family man. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred Craft.
Survivors include his cherished wife of 61 years, Hazel Craft, with whom he was never apart from; son, Mark (Stephanie) Craft; grandchildren, Mary Alene (Coleman) Childers and David Craft; great-grandson, Tate Childers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, West. Interment will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am.
