He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn (Boggs) Garland, a brother Robert (Bob) Garland of London and a sister Jane Davis of Annville. As well as a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Vernon was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald, Melvin, Rollie and Norman as well as the following sisters, Buleah Garland, Betty Hofacker and Joyce Lewis.
Vernon was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Smith and Bro. Shane Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow at the Cornetts Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers : Rodney Rainwater, Aaron Boggs, Jamie Alleshouse, Jody Alleshouse, John Davis, Justin Davis and Jason Davis.
A visitation will begin at 11 A.M on Tuesday at the Lakes Funeral Home Chapel.
