It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Vernon Jenson Jr's passing on September 23, 2025, at the age of 72. Vernon was born on November 12, 1952, in Vincennes the son of Vernon and Mary Jane (Coy) Jenson. Vernon lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. He is survived by his beloved wife, Neoma Jenson, who will carry on his spirit in their cherished memories together.
Vernon was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Vincennes and found joy in spending time with friends at the Vincennes Boat Club. His love for fishing and hunting brought him countless peaceful days outdoors. But more than anything, Vernon cherished his family and the precious moments they shared together, along with his beloved cat, Squeaky.
Vernon is survived by his wife Neoma Jenson; his children, Vernon M. Jenson and his wife Sue, Amanda Jenson, Christopher Jenson and his wife Cheryl, Matthew Jenson and his wife Mayra; sister, Betsy Emmons and her husband Rhodrick (Rod); seven grandchildren; two nieces and seven nephews. Vernon is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Nathan Michael Jenson.
Vernon will be cremated and there will be no services held. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Vernon and his family.
