Vernon Yoder
Vernon W. Yoder, 69, of Roodhouse IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born June 7, 1956 to Wallace & Ida (Zook) Yoder. He married Mary Margaret Miller on August 25,1956. God blessed them with 48 years together.
Vernon was a member of Rehoboth Amish Mennonite Church. He loved the work of the Lord and enjoyed reaching out through prison ministry for many years. Vernon's family meant a lot to him. He loved having the children and grandchildren come home. Throughout life, Vernon enjoyed singing with family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in God's creation.
He will be greatly missed by his wife and family: 5 children, LaVern (Elizabeth) Yoder, Center, CO; Andrew (Lucinda) Yoder, Roodhouse, IL; Cynthia Yoder, Lebanon, MO; Leland (Donna) Yoder, Owenton, KY; Deborah (John) Yoder, Roodhouse, IL; 21 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and 2 siblings, Elmer (Edna) Yoder, Hartville, OH; and Martha (Alfred) Gingerich, Manton, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 siblings, Leroy, MaryEllen, Ervin, Alvin, and JohnHenry, as well as 2 granddaughters, Laurie and Darla Yoder.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks for all the prayers and support offered throughout Vernon's extended illness and passing.
