Veronica Bohrer Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 7, 2025.
On October 30, 2025, the glue that held us together finally joined her love, and our hearts on earth are broken.

Veronica "Sis" Bohrer was so many things - tough, stubborn, mean, loyal, fierce, and loving.

If she loved you, you knew it. If she didn't, you knew that too.

She lived a life most only dream of - wild, full of love, and even when life started to slow her down, she was still stubborn as a mule and refused to be told to rest.

Life was not always kind to her, but against all odds, she made the very best of the years she was given. One-armed and all, she was a survivor.

She was born on December 2, 1947, to JuanNita Ortiz and Ralph Graham in Goodland, Kansas.

She is met in death by her loving husband and the love of her life, Harry Theodore "Ted" Bohrer, and her beautiful daughter, Dawn Rachelle Minton.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, JuanNita and Ralph; her father, Walter Padia; stepfather, James MacMartin; brothers, Donald Graham and Pete Padia; stepbrothers, Fini and Gordon Erickson; and son-in-law, Ronnie Hamilton.

She is survived by a beautiful family that was her reason for keeping going, including her three daughters, Kay (Dean), Terisa, and Sunita; her son, Patrick (Nikki); and ten grandchildren: Cory (Laura), Jessica, Ryan, Shanteil, Jeremy (Jennifer), Keylee, Brianna (Keith), Miranda, Nolan (Melissa), and Sammie. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Logan, Emmett, Gattlin, and Levi; as well as her brother, Leif (Mary), and sisters, Veronica (Jeff) and Patsy (Renwanz), along with many other family and friends.

She dedicated her life to advocating for the biker community in Kansas and across the nation, serving as an active Life Member of ABATE of Kansas, sitting on the State Board as Public Relations and every Labor Day you could find her working the Front Gate and Vendor Gate for the Annual Labor Day Rally, making sure EVERYONE had an armband and absolutely NO coolers or glass bottles were getting past her. She was the State of Kansas Representative for the Mid South MILE, previous Kansas Rep for the MRF and put on one hell of a Hospitality Room for Washington Days and Republican Days to promote ABATE of Kansas and fight for Motorcyclists Rights. She also spent 30 years as a member of KMBA, and as a long-standing, dedicated member of the Wichita Toy Run Committee.

She had a habit of "adopting" people and loving them as if they were her own. In recent years, she kept a close and watchful eye on a young man who became like a grandson to her, Allen.

Sis was one hell of a woman, and she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Funeral services will be held on November 15th at 1:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 256,
4590 W. Vanderhoff Circle, Wichita, KS.
A covered dish luncheon will follow.

A memorial has been established with the 2026 Wichita Toy Run.
