Veronica "Ronnie" Cunningham, 76, passed away on April 26, 2025 in her hometown of Ossining, New York. She was born September 14, 1948 in New York, New York to John and Katherine Seibert. Ronnie and her family grew up in the Bronx, New York. She made Ossining, New York her final home in 1981 after getting married to her husband Jim.

Ronnie graduated from Pace University with a degree in nursing. She worked at Einstein Hospital as a registered nurse before becoming a school nurse in the Ossining Public School System where she worked for more than 20 years, serving all schools but finally making Ossining High School her home. During this time she was also a member of the Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Unknown to many, Ronnie served with distinction as a reservist in the U.S. Navy. After retiring, Ronnie volunteered at Phelps Hospital and the Cherry Door Thrift Shop, both in Tarrytown.

Ronnie had a love of gardening, and transformed the yard of her home into a masterpiece, full of flower beds, vegetable gardens and a fish pond. She enjoyed the art of Bonsai trees, owning and shaping many herself. Ronnie enjoyed traveling, especially to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and the Bahamas. She loved spending time with family and good friends.

Ronnie is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jim; her daughter Jenn, son-in-law Ron, grandson Connor; daughter Lauren and partner Christian; brother John; numerous nieces and nephews and their families; and many friends across the country.

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday April 29th at Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home (1300 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, New York). A funeral service will on Wednesday April 30th at 11:00am at Waterbury & Kelly Funeral home. Following will be a burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
