William Cunningham Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home - East Louisville on Jan. 27, 2026.
William "Bill" Charles Cunningham, 66, of Louisville, passed away peacefully at his home on January 17, 2026, after a two-year battle with ALS.
Bill was born on November 30, 1959 to John and Laurel Cunningham of New York, NY. Bill graduated from Plainfield High School in New Jersey. Bill attended the University of Kentucky where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
While living in Louisville, Bill worked in Clarksville, IN where Bill met his wife, Jennifer while both working at Levy's Lumber and Building Center. Bill also went on to work as an inside salesman at L.Thorn Company, Bailey Tools and Supply, and Total Tool Supply until he retired in March of 2020.
Bill was an avid sports enthusiast, and was especially passionate about the University of Kentucky's basketball, football and baseball teams. He also loved cheering for the New York Mets, Giants, and Knicks. Bill enjoyed fitness and worked out daily, and continued to do so as long as possible until his battle with ALS. Bill also enjoyed travel and the many adventures he had with his wife and friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, John and Laurel Cunningham.
Bill was dedicated to his family, and leaves behind his loving wife of 31 years, Jennifer (Wolfe) and his son, Connor, both of Louisville. He is also survived by one brother, John Cunningham of Tequesta, FL. and a host of family and friends.
A celebration of life is being held at The Biscuit Lounge located at 120 South Tenth Street in Louisville on February 28, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
