Harold Leonard Carr, Jr. (Hal) was born on June 8,1948 in Louisville, KY
and died peacefully at home on January 21, 2026. His family moved to
Toledo, OH for his high school years where he excelled in Track. Hal
attended the University of Kentucky where he remained a lifelong fan of
their basketball program.

Hal served 8 years in the Army where he got his career start in IT. He
worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield, American Express, Oracle, Platinum
Technologies and Computer Associates to name a few. He was a leader in
preparing companies across the globe for Y2K. Towards the end of his 50
year career he specialized in healthcare technology.

Hal was preceded in death by his parents Marjie and Harold Carr, Sr and is
survived by his wife Julie P. Storm and two sons Ian Carr and Christopher
Carr as well as his sister Sandy Schwartz and brother John Carr. He was
affectionately called "Stick" by his and Julie's six grandchildren: Charlotte
Storm, Knox Storm, Marisol Storm, George Storm II, Harvey Storm and
Sophie Storm. He was the grandfather sitting on the floor putting the legos
together or playing poker for money and letting them win.

He and Julie were blessed to have found each other in their later years and
were married just shy of 14 years. They were fortunate to get to travel a lot
together and took a chance and moved to Skidaway Island in 2018 where
they met many great friends and discovered new experiences. Hal loved to
golf and learned to play pickleball as well as bridge and canasta. He never
stopped learning and growing.

Hal will be missed, not only by his family, but also many friends in Dallas,
Houston, Skidaway and across the globe. He will be remembered for his
dry sense of humor, his many unique life experiences, his passion for
music and his lack of fear in conquering any recipe!
