Sandra Gail Simmons

Sandra Gail Simmons, age 77 of Harned, KY passed away February 17, 2026, at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on August 19, 1948, daughter of the late Herman and Pauline Roberts Simmons. She was a member of Cloverport Community Church. Sandra earned her law degree from the University of Kentucky and achieved her dream of returning to her hometown where she begin her law practice to serve and help the people of her community. Sandra loved entertaining and hosting gatherings for her very large family. She enjoyed traveling and watching U K basketball.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings Dorothy Squires, Ruth Tucker, Mary McFelia, Jean Belcher, Shirley Wimberly, James Simmons and Emmett Simmons.

Sandra is survived by her sister Lois Carwile (Rudy) of Westview, KY and her brother Darrell Simmons (Vickie) of Owensboro, KY

Several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

Funeral services will be held at Horsley Chapel Global Methodist Church on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 1 PM with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, 10 AM – 1 PM. All times are central.
