David Arthur Nuttall passed away on January 31,2026 in Acworth, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Elyse Nuttall, and his son Andrew Nuttall.

David was born on January 25,1934 in Lancashire, UK. During WW 2 he was sent away, like many English children, to a country parish of the Church of England, where his uncle Arthur was Vicar. David entertained family and friends with many stories from that unique time. David loved his life and was active in many sports. He supported the local YMCA. He played handball, tennis and golf on teams throughout his life and enjoyed walking, biking, swimming and sailing. He loved taking long walks along the lakes and rivers in Wisconsin and intercoastal waterway on Skidaway Island. He was an avid reader who enjoyed scientific magazines and the British newspaper. David attained degrees from the University of Manchester, England and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin. He enjoyed his career at Kimberly Clark where he was a mechanical engineer and project manager. During his years there he was awarded five US patents. In his retirement David enjoyed watercolor painting and was active in the Landings Art Association at Skidaway Island.

David loved his family very much, and with a quiet English sense of humor made many friends with his kindness. He enjoyed a nice cup of tea and teaching games to his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Nuttall, who he married in 1988 in Atlanta, GA. They were together for 38 years enjoying life, family and many travels. David will be remembered with love by his children, stepchildren, grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was also survived one day by his beloved cat Tootsie.

A memorial service will be held at First Methodist Church of Marietta GA on March 8, 2026 at 2 pm. A heartfelt thanks goes out to Trinity Hospice, Agape Hospice and the wonderful staff at Celebration Village. Any remembrance can be made to Hospice, Tunnels to Towers or First United Methodist Church of Marietta GA.
