Michael Todd Hawkins, age 59, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on January 10, 2026.
He was born on November 11, 1967, in Independence, Louisiana, to his late parents, Rose Johnson and Emmanuel Hawkins. He was also preceded in death by his son, Michael D.D. Hawkins; his brothers, Kevin Hawkins and Lawrence Hawkins; and his sister, Eron Hawkins.
Michael was a high school graduate who worked as an armed security guard and with Citywide Cleaning Service. He was a simple and loving man who valued family and enjoyed spending time with those he loved. Michael dedicated much of his life to working hard, creating a comfortable home for himself, and sharing meaningful moments with his longtime girlfriend, Mary A. Davis. In his spare time, he enjoyed gun collecting.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Brenda Guidry; his brother, Craig Hawkins; his daughter, Alicia Hawkins; his son, Todd Hawkins; his grandchildren, Ziria Hawkins, Omari Hawkins, Brayden Offord, Braylen Offord, and Serenity Washington; his great-granddaughter, Seji Washington; and a host of extended family members and loved ones.
Service details will be announced at a later time.
The family extends special thanks to Leaf Cremation, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office, and everyone who loved and cared for Michael throughout his life.

With loving remembrance, the family honors the life and legacy of Michael Todd Hawkins — a man whose quiet strength, dedication, and love for his family will never be forgotten. His presence brought comfort, and his life leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to live on through all who knew him. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find peace in the enduring impact he made and the bonds of love that remain unbroken. The family sincerely appreciates the prayers, support, and expressions of kindness shown during this difficult time and asks that you continue to keep them lifted in your thoughts and prayers as they celebrate his life and legacy.
