Judith Lavile Beringause (Conwell) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, with her family by her side at Kennesaw Place Assisted Living on Jiles Road in Kennesaw. Judy lived life to the fullest and took immense pride in her family, who were the center of her world.
She loved cheering on her children as they played baseball and rode motorcycles over the years.
Judy was there for every scraped knee and every broken bone, making countless trips to the hospital for her three sons. Summers were spent camping by the lake, and she cherished family vacations to Panama City Beach, Florida-memories that will be held close for generations.
Judy enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, trying her luck at the lottery, and cooking meals that brought her family together. She found joy in swimming in her pool and being surrounded by the people she loved most. Professionally, Judy served as a Food Service Manager for the Cobb County School District, where she dedicated herself to providing students with a nutritious lunch each day. Her work touched the lives of countless children over the years. Judy will be remembered for her strength, her devotion to her family, and the love she poured into every part of her life. Her smile was contagious, and her warm, friendly nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met. To know her was to remember her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Frank Beringause; her parents, Hoke and Virgie Conwell; and her son, Erick Langston (Melissa Hammonds) Beringause. Judy is survived by her sons Allen (Tina) Beringause and Sean (Becky) Beringause; her grandchildren Cody, Tyler (Madison), Jordan (Sam), Amber, Justin, Jaclyn, Alison, Donovan (Trina). Katie (Brian), and Garret (Savannah); and her great-grandchildren Isaac, Wyatt, Liam, Emmett, Nate, Hank, Kennedy, Skylar, Kamryn, Sydnee, Zoey and Emma. She is also survived by her longtime partner and dear friend, Yette Dressler.
Judy will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to two organizations close to her heart: The Bartow County Animal Shelter or the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
