Veronica "Toots" Everson

Veronica "Toots" (Varhoe) Everson, age 86, passed away on May 4, 2024.
Toots built a life in her hometown of Akron, Ohio with her sweetheart, Tommy Everson who preceded her in death in 2012. Toots and Tommy were married for 56 years and had three beautiful children.
Toots enjoyed gardening, hot air balloons, hummingbirds, the song "You Are My Sunshine", crossword puzzles in the Akron Beacon Journal and visiting with her siblings across the country.
She attended Ellet High School and was an employee of Arthur Printing for 30+ years. The house they lived in Ellet for 65 years was the home she raised her children in.
Toots is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy, and her sister, Mary. She is survived by children, Teresa Perkins, Pam (Jim) Beltz, and Ron (Susan) Everson, as well as her brother, John (Gail) Varhoe, and sister, Gloria Mondry. She is also survived by grandchildren,Brian Everson, Kristin (Jack) Miller, Brenden Everson, and Kevin (James) Beltz. She is also survived by her great granddaughters, America, Leah, Lorelei, and Sabrina, great grandson, Wyatt, and special friend, Warner Worrell.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses and aides at The Gables of Green and Traditions of Hospice who took such loving care of Toots.
In honor of her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be a private service to remember her at a later date.
