Veronica Hillie, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, just days shy of her 61st birthday. Born on March 31, 1965, in Jackson, Mississippi, she spent her later years in Orange Park, Florida, where she created countless cherished memories with her family.

Veronica was a remarkable woman known for her unwavering ambition and an indomitable faith that inspired all who crossed her path. She had a profound ability to speak encouragement and hope into the lives of others. A dedicated family woman, Veronica treasured her grandchildren-NiCedriana Gray, Jacey Harris, Kassius Harris, and Isaac Harris-who brought immense joy and love into her life.

Veronica's passion for giving back to her community was evident in her various projects, including small scholarships and food drives. She devoted her time as a volunteer tutor for elementary students, always seeking ways to uplift those in need. A lover of reading and an avid beachgoer, she delighted in spending time by the ocean, often reflecting on life while surrounded by the beauty of nature.

She leaves behind her daughter, Kirsten Harris; son, Cedric Gray and daughter-in-law, Karen Gray, brother, Mickey Gray and sister-in-law Pamela Gray; and sisters, Brenda Gray and Kristy Gray. Veronica is also survived by many nieces and nephews . Her warmth and kindness will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
