MEXICO, NY - Veronica Lee Peterson (Skilinski), 71, of Mexico, NY; passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
She was born on November 17, 1953, to Margaret and Earl Skilinski in Mexico, NY. She attended Mexico Academy and Central Schools. Ronnie lived a life free with laughter and love. She was married to Nicholas E. Peterson, who predeceased her, but their bond and shared love was a cornerstone of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Veiga, cherished granddaughters, Maggi, Eliana, and Elizabet Veiga, and several nieces and nephews who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. Ronnie had a gift for bringing joy to those around her-whether through her cooking or baking, her quick-witted humor that brought laughter to any room, or her unwavering opinions that never left you wondering what she truly thought Her memory will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025 at the Mexico VFW Edick-Hamlink Post #369. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. Mexico, NY.
