Versha Davidson was born in Clay County KS January 20, 1938, the only child of Elmo R. Davidson and Hazel Willis Davidson. She died January 23, 2024, at Wesley Hospital in Wichita KS. Versha grew up on a farm south of Clay Center KS and moved to Greenleaf KS after the deaths of her parents. She attended country school, Institute of Logopedics in Wichita and a special school in Manhattan. She worked at Twin Valley workshop in Greenleaf. Versha loved her relatives, "family" and caregivers at Twin Valley, animals, time at the workshop and joking.
Besides her parents, Versha is predeceased by her beloved aunts: Wanita (Ralph) Cartner (second mom), Tabitha (Delbert) Lowry, Helen (Ralph) Kee and Wanda (Harold) Neaderhiser, and first cousins, Wayne Lowry, Reverend Ron Lowry and Orron Kee. Her surviving first cousins are Judy Lowry Adee, Joyce Neaderhiser Thompson (R. Wayne) and Alan Neaderhiser (Judy). Surviving first cousins-in-law are Elaine Lowry, Sheron Lowry and Judy Kee.
A memorial service for Versha, with refreshments following, will be held Monday, February 5, 1:00 p.m. at Twin Valley Developmental Services, 413 Commercial Street, Greenleaf KS 66943.
Inurnment will be at Liberty Cemetery, Upland KS at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Twin Valley Developmental Services, at the above address.
Twin Valley was a sanctuary for Versha for 40 years.
