Vicki J. Cummins-Farkas, 74, of Zanesville, died at 9:28 A.M. on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born December 27, 1950, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Clayton Eugene and Josephine (Roe) Cummins. Vicki was a graduate of West Muskingum High School. She received her Associate of Science Degree in Respiratory Care from Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan; Bachelor of Science Healthcare Management from Neumann College in Aston, PA. and her Masters of Science in Human Resources from Widener University of Chester, PA. Vicki’s professional credentialing includes her C.R.T.T. and R.R.T. in Respiratory Care and her PHR in Human Resources. Vicki had also been very active in CPR instruction in the Philadelphia area.
Prior to Vicki becoming disabled she had worked and lived in the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania. Most recently as a Human Resource Professional at Pennsylvania Health System. Prior to that she was a Human Resource Manager at Crozer Keystone Health Systems. Before changing careers in 1992, she was a long time Respiratory manager at Crozer Chester Medical Center with her final position being the Technical Director of the Division of Pulmonary Medicine.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Farkas; sisters, Lynn Louise Pettry and Beth Ann Roe Farley; her Godchildren, Matthew, Marcus, Monica, and Michael Farley, Clayton Michael Cummins; nieces Jodi Stoops, Kaleigh and Kelsey Cummins; nephews, Randy Nelson, Jack Nelson, Bob Stoops; and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Sondra Jean Nelson in 2002; and her brother Michael Eugene Cummins in 2010.
Friends and family may call from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral service starting at 12:00 NOON on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Pastor Jamie Harrop officiating. Vicki will be laid to rest at Williams Cemetery, Zanesville.
