Vicki Lou Ragsdale Davis, a spirited soul with a heart full of laughter, passed away peacefully at her home in Ferris, TX on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the age of 72.
Vicki was born on May 22, 1953 and was the 14th child of Clifton and Eula Ragsdale. She was raised in Mesquite, TX and spent her later years in Ferris, Texas, with her husband Clifton "Buzzy" Davis, who preceded her in death.
Vicki is survived by her daughters, Tammy Peters and Dee Dee Holden; granddaughters, Shelby Wallace, Sydney Zavala, Kelsey Chaffin, and Elyssa Holden; and twin great-grandkids, Branson and Taylee Rudy. She also leaves behind her twin sister, Vonda Mays; sister, Linda Patterson; and brothers, Jimmy Don and C.A. Ragsdale; as well as many nieces and nephews. Vicki held a special place in her heart for her bonus-kids, including daughter, Misty Holbrook, and grandkids, Morgan Trantham, Ryan Blackburn and his daughter Presley. She also leaves behind lots of friends and her most prized possession and best friend, Jake, her loyal furry companion who will miss her dearly.
Her family was her greatest treasure, and nothing brought her more joy than celebrating the milestones of her loved ones. Her beautiful eyes and bright smile lit up the room during graduations, weddings, and the arrival of her grandkids and great-grandkids, who promoted her to the cherished title of "GiGi".
Vicki touched the lives of everyone around her, including strangers. She found joy in cooking and cleaning, always thinking of others before herself. She enjoyed the simple things... chocolate, Dr Pepper, ice cream, twizzlers, and anything cucumber melon. She adored kids, music, dancing, and laughing-especially while singing at the top of her lungs. She also cherished the holidays, finding great happiness in spending them with family.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Vicki will forever treasure her kindness, playful spirit, infectious laughter, and love she so freely gave. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
Vicki is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Davis; parents, Clifton Alton Ragsdale and Eula Faye Kedy Ragsdale; sisters, Patricia Thurner, Gloria Wimpey, Margaret Cooksey, Mary Waites, and Rosie Hudson; and brothers, Bobby, Jerry, Charlie, Tommy, and Lanny Ragsdale.
Fly high, Vicki Lou! Keep singing, keep dancing, and keep making heaven laugh!
