Vicki L. Farrey, 77, of Benton, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Benton Christian Community Church, Benton, Wisconsin, with Pastor Ed Santiago officiating. Visitation will be held from 9-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cuba City, Wisconsin, is assisting the family.
Vicki was born on December 11, 1947, in Freeport, Illinois, the daughter of Nathan and Jean (Gibler) Hartzell. She was united in marriage to Keith Farrey on November 26, 1969. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1999.
Vicki worked at Hartzell’s IGA in Warren, Illinois and Benton State Bank. She was a faithful member of the Benton Christian Community Church. Vicki was active in the Benton Community Development Corporation, being named its 2024 “Community Impact Honoree”. Vicki enjoyed quilting, going on adventures with her cousin, Sue Martin, and spending time with family and friends. She particularly enjoyed being with her great-nieces and great-nephews. Over the years, Vicki knitted Christmas stockings for each of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, totaling over 100 stockings.
Those left to remember Vicki include her brother, Bob (Mary) Hartzell, Warren, IL; her in-laws, Barbara Stodden, Cannon Falls, MN, Allan Farrey, St. Paul, MN and Ken (Sharon) Farrey, Benton, WI; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Farrey; her parents, Nathan and Jean Hartzell; a sister, Jill Hartzell, in infancy; a brother, Harry Hartzell; a nephew, Brandon Hartzell; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Clarice and Verden Farrey; and her in-laws, Harold (Sylvia) Farrey, Gayle Farrey, Lauretta Lade, Earl Stodden and Donnie Farrey.
Memorials in Vicki’s name may be sent to the funeral home at 123 N. Jackson St., Cuba City, WI 53807.
