Vicki Hirschey Obituary
In keeping with Vicki's wishes, there will be no calling or funeral service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.
Vicki is survived by her beloved husband, Doug; three children Karrie Ahearn of Elmira; Nathan J. Hirschey of Glenfield; Wendy K. (Justin) Slaby of Columbus, GA; two grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter; her mother, Elaine Leroux of Star Lake; her siblings, John (Deborah) Leroux of The Villages, FL; Andy (Sarah) Leroux of Star Lake; Linda (Steve) Sharrow of Star Lake; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Vicki was born in Star Lake, NY, on September 4, 1955, a daughter of the late Joseph F Leroux; and Elaine Struder Leroux. She graduated from Clifton-Fine Central School in 1973, and workedas a hairdresser at Lewis County Extended Care Facility. On April 24, 1976, she married Douglas L. Hirschey at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Glenfield. She raised her family andwas a homemaker. Vicki worked as a custodian for 17 years at Howard G. Sackett Technical Center (BOCES), Glenfield, retiring in 2017.
She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, riding snowmobiles & side by side. Most of all, Vicki enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
