Vicki Ann (Christensen) Schlievert, 66, of Humboldt, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Vicki was born on February 15, 1959, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Mark (Chris) Christensen and Angeline (Ann) Christensen. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1977. Vicki attended Iowa Central Community College followed by Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State) for Business Administration. Vicki was known for her love of music, the outdoors, gardening, crafting, reading and of course, the Iowa Hawkeyes. One of her greatest joys in life was raising her two daughters as a single mother. Vicki was joined in marriage to Mark R. Schlievert on May 1, 2024. They enjoyed eight wonderful years together in South Carolina before returning to their hometown in Humboldt, Iowa in the fall of 2025. Vicki was known and loved for her compassion, humor and resilience.
Vicki is survived by her husband, Mark R. Schlievert, her older sister, Debbie K. (Christensen) Duppler, her former spouse, Bill W. Cullen of Lake Villa, Illinois, and their two daughters, Carley N. (Cullen) Law of Austin, Texas and Erin M. (Cullen) Schultz of Brown Deer, Wisconsin.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt, on Saturday, December 20th from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Vicki are welcome to attend to honor her. A celebration of life will occur at a later date with more information to come. www.masonlindhart.com
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Food Bank of Iowa or to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital in Vicki’s memory.
