Daniel Bruce Watnem was born October 8,1958 in Humboldt, Iowa. He was the oldest of four children born to Quentin Bruce and Dorothea Mae (Fallesen) Watnem.
Dan graduated from Humboldt High School and went on to work for Cornbelt Power Cooperative as a lineman superintendent. Following his 34 years of service to Cornbelt, Dan worked as a general and project manager for condominiums in Florida.
Dan married Lynn Johnson and together they shared 45 years of marriage. They raised their three children in Hampton and Humboldt, Iowa, years that Dan cherished and often referred to as the best years! He had a love of music, nature and following his children’s sporting and dance events. Getting his grandchildren out on the water was one of the greatest joys of his life.
