Debora Lei Ruberg (Schade), the daughter of John and Sandra (Erickson) Schade, was born on March, 31st 1965, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was raised in Thor and educated in Eagle Grove through high school, then graduated in Humboldt with the “Class of 1983”.
Deb was united in marriage to Lonnie Ruberg on June 25th, 1987, at the Ullensvang Church in Thor. The couple had two children, Cassie and Tanner.
Deb worked for Dodger Industry in Eagle Grove, Home Health Care, Hagie in Clarion and currently worked for Seiler Appliance in Humboldt.
Deb was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt. She was a crafter attending many craft shows and owning two different craft shops: Needles and Nails in Fort Dodge and The Heartland Boutique.
Deb was very involved in her children and grandchildren's life spending time at Motocross races with Tanner and different sporting events making sure that they heard her advice from the stands. Her main focus was family, including spending weekends camping with her husband and riding motorcycles. Deb was kind to everyone and never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tanner Ruberg; father, John Schade, brother-in-law, Kenny Smith and grandparents.
Deb is survived by her husband, Lonnie Ruberg; daughter, Cassie Markman (Matt) of Sioux Falls SD; grandsons: Austin and Sam; mother, Sandi Schade; sister, Sue Smith; brother Eric Schade (Jessica); mother-in-law, Joyce Ruberg and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 16th at Zion Lutheran Church, Humboldt. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday November 17th at Zion Lutheran Church, Humboldt. Burial will be at West Ullensvang Cemetery, Thor, following the funeral service.
Memorials will be left to the discretion of the family.
