Shirley Leona Osborn Via was born September 11, 1929, to William and Magalena (Kutchera) Osborn in Stratford, Iowa. She has raised three sons: LeRoy, Donald (Kathy) and Howard Sundine and two daughters: Joann Sundine and Patty (Mark) McCullah. On June 28, 2003, Shirley was united in marriage to Jim Via at the park in Rolfe, Iowa. The couple made their home in Bode, Iowa. Shirley enjoyed sewing, gardening and canning.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband: Jim of Bode; sons: LeRoy "Butch" Sundine of Rolfe, Donald (Kathy) Sundine of Fort Dodge and Howard Sundine of Newell; daughter: Patty (Mark) McCullah of Laurens; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Shirley is preceded in death by parents; eight half-brothers; four half-sisters; daughter: Joann Sundine and granddaughter: Chelsea Bair.
