Publish in a newspaper

Vicki Lynn Shaver, 66, born September 23, 1959, in Kansas City, Kansas, passed away peacefully on November 23rd, 2025, with her family and close friends by her side.

She made her home in Knob Noster, Missouri, where she spent her later years surrounded by the people she loved most. Vicki's greatest joy in life was her family, and she is survived by her children: Joshua Rowland of Holden, Jason Rowland of Knob Noster, Cassi Kinnison of Knob Noster, Jacob Noble of Warrensburg, and Cody Noble of Knob Noster. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Jason Jr., Oaklee, Jaxon, Brooke, Lane, Abbi, Ja'Ciyah, Danny, Sarinity, and Elijah. Vicki shared more than 30 years of her life with her longtime partner, Jason Noble, the man who held her heart. She is also survived by her siblings: Linda Miller of Shawnee, KS; Dale Holland of Rolla; Jimmy Holland of Las Vegas; David Holland of Richmond; Harry Malott of Cottage Grove, MN; Teresa Burford of Warrensburg; and Dan'E Malott of Chilhowee. She was the daughter of James Kenneth Holland, who survives her, and Patsy Malott, who preceded her in death.

Vicki worked proudly for many years as a custodian for the University of Central Missouri and the Warrensburg School District, forming lasting friendships along the way. She was also the Horseshoe Champion of Knob Noster-earned with her trademark determination and spark. She served as the President of the VFW 726 Youth Auxiliary and was proud to have sold the most poppies during one of their community drives. Vicki lived her life with a bright, joyful spirit and a sense of humor that could light up an entire room. She was known for making people laugh-those big, real, can't-hold-it-in kind of laughs. Whether she was decorating for a holiday, sharing a joke, or heading to the casino with one of her famous "lucky feelings," Vicki brought happiness wherever she went. Vicki will be remembered for her kindness, her humor, and the unforgettable way she made people feel loved. Her legacy is one of laughter, warmth, and memories that will continue to shine through everyone she touched.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 29th, at The Rat Hole, following services at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM, with services at 3:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Vicki Shaver Memorial Fund with checks made payable to Joshua Rowland and left in care of the funeral home.
